Dr Siddick Maudarbocus qualified as a doctor in 1981 at University College Dublin, Ireland and proceeded to do various hospital job rotations in Ireland and England in medicine, surgery, and psychiatry.

It was while working as registrar at the Alcoholic Addiction Unit at St Bernards Hospital, Ealing-London in 1985 that he came across the use of Acupuncture in the treatment of alcoholic withdrawal and was so impressed with the results that he decided to specialize in complementary medicines and took up the study of Acupuncture, Homeopathy and Bioenergetic medicine.

In his post graduate studies in the field of complementary medicine he traveled widely from west to east: UK, France, Germany, Sri lanka, Singapore and China.

And trained with many outstanding teachers- Two “gurus” towered among the lot: Dr Nogier of Lyons France and Prof Sir Dr Anton Jayasuriya of Colombo, Sri Lanka

Dr Nogier is the father of modern ear acupuncture( auricular therapy) - a discipline which has successfully blended the application of light, laser, magnets and electrical stimulation to points on the ear with powerful therapeutic results in the healing of a whole range of disorders: painful conditions, nervous disorders, and functional disorders.

Dr Nogier is also the developer of the famous VAS ( Vascular Autonomic Signal) which is a wave pattern that can be detected at the pulse and which gives the doctor information on the body’s response to any stimulus. For instance a quick scan of the body’s general health condition can be made by screening the ear in less than 60 seconds( With a tiny light source) and immediately the practitioner can diagnose many conditions- e.g allergy, inflammation, locating exactly painful areas ,and organ imbalances.

Prof Sir Dr Anton Jayasuria is an outstanding master in the field of acupuncture. He has treated in his open air clinic in Colombo, over half a million patients free of charge!!! And has trained over 30 000 doctors from 137 countries in the practice of acupuncture.

Prof Jayasuria has been honored with various Titles/honors over the years for his outstanding contribution in the field of Healing- currently he holds the titles of Sir,Lord,Pandit,Tibetan Lama, and over 30 world accreditations.
